Thinking about a move to Southwest Florida? Or already live here and want to see what is happening around the area before heading out? A live webcam can give you a quick look at a beach, marina, bridge, canal or other local spot.
I recently came across a helpful collection of Southwest Florida live-streaming webcams from Cape Weather. It includes cameras in Cape Coral, Matlacha, Pine Island, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Captiva, Punta Gorda, Boca Grande and other nearby places.
See Southwest Florida from a different angle
The camera locations are spread across the region, so you can check out a few different views in one place. The listing includes the Rubicon Canal in Cape Coral, Matlacha Bridge, Bokeelia, Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach, Captiva, Punta Gorda and more. Depending on the camera and whether its feed is active, you may be able to see the water, boats, beach conditions or activity around a particular waterfront location.

How buyers can use the webcam list
If you are planning a visit or exploring places to live, these cameras can be a fun way to get a feel for the region before you arrive. You can look at views around popular waterfront and beach areas, see what a particular spot looks like at that moment, and make a list of places you may want to explore in person.
They can also help you plan a day out. If you are thinking about heading to the beach, a marina or a causeway, a camera view may give you a quick visual check of that specific location before you go.
What a live camera cannot tell you
A webcam only shows its own camera angle at a particular moment. It will not tell you what a whole neighborhood is like, what the area looks like at every time of day, or what it is like to live on a specific street. It is not a substitute for visiting a property or checking current weather, road or storm information. Feeds can also be unavailable or change over time.
Cape Weather says its webcams are for entertainment and are not security cameras. If you are considering a home, we can help you learn more about the neighborhood, boating access, nearby amenities and the details that a camera cannot show.
Whether you are planning a visit, choosing a beach day or just curious about what is happening around Southwest Florida, this is a fun page to keep handy.
Webcam feeds are operated by Cape Weather and the camera hosts. WhyCapeCoral.com does not operate or control the feeds.
